Alumina is refined from bauxite and then subject to electrolysis that further refines it to produce aluminum of more than 99.7% purity. This "primary aluminum" serves as a raw material for rolling, extrusion, forging and casting.

Primary aluminum is the most widely used aluminum raw material and is an international commodity with a highly liquid market. It is traded on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and other futures markets. Primary aluminum alloys, to which other metal elements have been added, are used as raw materials for aluminum car wheels (A356) and also for billets in the construction industry.

Secondary aluminum alloy is the primary raw material for the aluminum die-cast, which is used extensively in automobile engines, and cast parts. We source it from China, the Middle East, Russia and many other areas around the globe, providing it not only to the domestic Japanese market, but to markets in Southeast Asia. We also provide marketing services for the Mitsubishi Group's alloy manufacturers, Nikkei MC Aluminum Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc.

We provide aluminum scrap generated in Japan to domestic alloy manufacturers, and we also export to China, Korea and Southeast Asia.
